The General Assembly expresses its appreciation to the Secretary-General for the steps he took to mobilize humanitarian assistance and requests the United Nations system to take all necessary measures to support Bangladesh and to strengthen its capacity for seeking a long-term solution to problems caused by floods and natural disasters.
