Under article 39, paragraph 1, the terms provide that the Convention shall enter into force on the thirtieth day after the date of deposit of the twentieth instrument of ratification or accession.

In accordance with its article 49 (2), the Convention will enter into force for Kuwait on the thirtieth day after the date of deposit of the instrument, i.e. on 20 November 1991.
وعملاً بالفقرة ٢ من المادة ٩٤ من الاتفاقية، يبدأ نفاذ هذه اﻷخيرة بالنسبة للكويت في اليوم الثلاثين الذي يلي تاريخ إيداع الصك، أي في ٠٢ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٩١.

2- يبدأ نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية، بالنسبة لكل دولة أو منظمة اقليمية للتكامل الاقتصادي تصدق على هذه الاتفاقية أو تقبلها أو تقرها أو تنضم اليها بعد ايداع الصك الأربعين من تلك الصكوك، في اليوم الثلاثين من تاريخ ايداع تلك الدولة أو المنظمة ذلك الصك ذا الصلة.

1. The present Protocol shall enter into force on the thirtieth day after the date of deposit with the Secretary-General of the United Nations of the twentieth instrument of ratification or accession.

4. Paragraph 1 of article 28, part II, of the annex states that the Optional Protocol shall enter into force on the thirtieth day after the date of deposit with the Secretary-General of the United Nations of the twentieth instrument of ratification or accession.

3 - وقد فتح باب التوقيع على الاتفاقية الدولية للقضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز العنصري في نيويورك في 7 آذار/مارس 1966، وبدأ نفاذها في 4 كانون الثاني/يناير 1969، أي في اليوم الثلاثين من تاريخ إيداع وثيقة التصديق السابعة والعشرين لدى الأمين العام، وفقا لما نصت عليه المادة 19 من الاتفاقية.

For each State or regional economic integration organization ratifying, accepting, approving or acceding to this Convention after the deposit of the [twentieth] [fortieth] instrument of such action, this Convention shall enter into force on the thirtieth day after the date of deposit by such State or organization of the relevant instrument.
2- بالنسبة لكل دولة أو منظمة إقليمية للتكامل الاقتصادي تصدق على هذه الاتفاقية أو تقبلها أو تقرها أو تنضم إليها، بعد إيداع الصك [العشرين] [الأربعين] المتعلق بذلك الإجراء، يبدأ نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية في اليوم الثلاثين من تاريخ إيداع تلك الدولة أو المنظمة الصك ذا الصلة.

It should enter into force as soon as possible and therefore paragraphs 1 and 2 should be brought into line with article 27 of the Convention, so that the protocol would enter into force on the thirtieth day after the date of deposit of the instrument of ratification or accession.
