Amidst the frustration of watching this part of the session go by without decisions on many of these issues, we should nevertheless take heart in the prompt re-establishment of the Ad Hoc Committee on the comprehensive nuclear-test-ban treaty - indeed a fitting attitude, given the high expectations held by the international community that such a long overdue treaty might finally be within grasp.
