Regular consultations have been instituted between the officers of the Committee and their counterparts in the Panel, in order to enhance the responsiveness of the latter's work programme to the needs of the Convention.

Action: The SBSTA will be invited to consider the information provided by relevant research programmes and organizations on developments in research activities relevant to the needs of the Convention.
24- الإجراء: ستُدعى الهيئة الفرعية للمشورة العلمية والتكنولوجية إلى النظر في المعلومات المقدمة من البرامج والمنظمات البحثية ذات الصلة والتي تتناول فيها تطورات الأنشطة البحثية المتعلقة باحتياجات الاتفاقية.

62. A workshop on research and annual meetings were organized under the SBSTA dialogue on developments in research activities relevant to the needs of the Convention.
62- ونُظمت حلقة عمل في مجال البحث() واجتماعات سنوية() في إطار الحوار الذي تجريه الهيئة الفرعية للمشورة العلمية والتكنولوجية حول تطورات أنشطة البحث المتصلة باحتياجات الاتفاقية.

In this regard, the SBSTA invited the research programmes and organizations to continue to provide information on developments in research activities relevant to the needs of the Convention.
وفي هذا الشأن، دعت الهيئة الفرعية برامج ومنظمات البحوث إلى مواصلة إحاطتها بالتطورات التي تحصل في الأنشطة البحثية المتعلقة باحتياجات الاتفاقية.()

58. The programme organized the fourth meeting of the SBSTA dialogue on developments in research activities relevant to the needs of the Convention, with further enhanced participation of Parties, following relevant mandates of the SBSTA.
58- وعقد البرنامج الاجتماع الرابع لحوار الهيئة الفرعية للمشورة العلمية والتكنولوجية بشأن التطورات في أنشطة البحث المتصلة باحتياجات الاتفاقية() مع زيادة تعزيز مشاركة الأطراف، وفقاً للولايات ذات الصلة للهيئة الفرعية.

45. The SBSTA took note of the views submitted by Parties on topics for discussion at the research dialogue meeting convened during SBSTA 32 and expressed its appreciation to Parties for providing, during that dialogue meeting, their views on research needs and priorities, in particular those related to reducing uncertainties and gaps in scientific knowledge relevant to the needs of the Convention.
45- أحاطت الهيئة الفرعية بالآراء التي أدلت بها الأطراف بشأن المواضيع المطروحة للنقاش في اجتماع الحوار البحثي الذي عُقد في الدورة الثانية والثلاثين للهيئة()، وأعربت عن تقديرها لتقديم الأطراف خلال هذا الاجتماع آراءها بشأن احتياجات وأولويات البحث، لا سيما تلك المتعلقة بتقليص أوجه عدم التيقن والثغرات التي تنطوي عليها المعارف العلمية ذات الصلة باحتياجات الاتفاقية.

The SBSTA noted with appreciation the information provided, in response to the invitation by the SBSTA at its twenty-sixth session, by regional and international climate change research programmes and organizations (hereinafter referred to as research programmes and organizations) on developments in research activities relevant to the needs of the Convention.
100- أحاطت الهيئة الفرعية علماً مع التقدير بالمعلومات التي قدمتها لها، رداً على الدعوة التي وجهتها في دورتها السادسة والعشرين()، البرامج والمنظمات الإقليمية والدولية المعنية ببحوث تغيّر المناخ (يشار إليها فيما يلي ببرامج ومنظمات البحث) بشأن التطورات المستجدة في أنشطة البحث ذات الصلة باحتياجات الاتفاقية().

Following this, the Chair of the SBSTA suggested that the SBSTA takes a strategic look at where it stands and where it needs to go to stay responsive to the needs of the Convention.

In addition to views on the issues identified in paragraph 1 above, Parties provided views and information on other matters, such as research priorities in response to the needs of the Convention per se, activities on research and systematic observation at an international and a regional level, and information about the Parties' support to different international programmes and bilateral cooperation.
وبالإضافة إلى الآراء المتعلقة بالمسائل المحدَّدة في الفقرة 1 أعلاه، قدَّمت الأطراف آراء ومعلومات حول مسائل أخرى مثل أولويات البحوث اللازمة للاستجابة لاحتياجات الاتفاقية ذاتها، والأنشطة المتصلة بالبحوث والمراقبة المنهجية على المستويين الدولي والإقليمي، والمعلومات المتصلة بالدعم الذي تُقدمه الأطراف لمختلف البرامج الدولية ولأغراض التعاون الثنائي.
