Given the significant and increasing amounts being spent on training related to peacekeeping operations, the Committee is of the opinion that the time has come for the Secretariat to develop a methodology and monitoring system to evaluate the results of that training in peacekeeping and related areas, as well as to increase its effectiveness by making it more mission-specific, where appropriate.

148. Taking into account its observations as outlined above, the Advisory Committee recommends that the Secretary-General be requested to prepare a comprehensive report on training in peacekeeping that would address, among other issues, the following:
