48. At its 2037th and 2038th meetings, held on 24 and 25 July 2002, the Committee considered the draft of its twenty-sixth annual report, covering its activities at its seventy-third, seventy-fourth and seventy-fifth sessions, held in 2001 and 2002.

We, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Group of 77, guided by the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter and by full respect for the principles of international law, convened at the twenty-sixth annual Meeting at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on 19 September 2002, adopted the following declaration:

In adding our support for the draft resolution, I would like to reiterate the position of the ministers of the developing countries, expressed in the Declaration issued on the occasion of the twenty-sixth annual Ministerial Meeting of the Group of 77, held at New York on 19 September 2002.
