In the same resolution, the Council also decided that every effort should be made to withdraw all UNOSOM II military forces and assets from Somalia in a secure and orderly manner as soon as possible, before the expiry date of the final mandate of the Operation and without compromising on the paramount need of ensuring the safety of UNOSOM II personnel.
وانتهى المجلس في القرار ذاته إلى أنه ينبغي بذل كل جهد لسحب القوات العسكرية التابعة لعملية اﻷمم المتحدة الثانية في الصومال وموجوداتها من الصومال بطريقة آمنة ومنظمة بأسرع ما يمكن، قبل تاريخ انقضاء الولاية النهائية للعملية ودون أي تهاون بشأن الضرورة القصوى المتمثلة في كفالة سلامة أفراد العملية.

The Security Council, on 16 November 1993, adopted resolution 885 (1993), which authorized " the establishment of a Commission of Inquiry, in further implementation of resolutions 814 (1993) and 837 (1993), to investigate armed attacks on UNOSOM II personnel which led to casualties among them " .

6. Authorizes UNOSOM II military forces to take those actions necessary to protect the UNOSOM II mission and the withdrawal of UNOSOM II personnel and assets, and, to the extent that the Force Commander deems it practicable and consistent, in the context of withdrawal, to protect personnel of relief organizations;
٦ - يأذن للقوات العسكرية التابعة لعملية اﻷمم المتحدة الثانية في الصومال بأن تتخذ اﻹجراءات اللازمة لحماية بعثة عملية اﻷمم المتحدة الثانية في الصومال وحماية انسحاب أفراد العملية وموجوداتها والقيام، بالقدر الذي يراه قائد القوة ممكنا ومتسقا، في سياق الانسحاب، بحماية أفراد منظمات اﻹغاثة؛

On 16 November 1993, by its resolution 885 (1993), the Security Council established a three-member Commission of Inquiry to investigate armed attacks on UNOSOM II personnel.
