Underlining that the situation could present a serious risk to the timely termination of the programme, the Security Council addressed another letter to the Permanent Representative of Iraq to the United Nations urging the Government of Iraq to do its utmost, in liaison with the Secretariat, to expedite the processing of the remaining letters of credit in respect of contracts where delivery has been effected (S/2007/661).
29 - أكد مجلس الأمن أن الوضع يمكن أن يؤدي إلى مخاطر كبيرة تعترض سبيل إنهاء البرنامج في حينه، ووجَّهَ رسالة أخرى إلى مندوب العراق الدائم لدى الأمم المتحدة، يحث فيها حكومة العراق على بذل قصارى جهودها، بالاتصال مع الأمانة العامة للأمم المتحدة، للتعجيل بتجهيز خطابات الاعتماد المتعلقة بالعقود التي تم فيها التسليم (S/2007/661).
