Welcoming the proclamation by the General Assembly, in its resolution 48/104 of 20 December 1993 of the Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women,

The Commission had therefore encouraged the Special Rapporteur to continue to examine incidents and governmental actions in all parts of the world that were incompatible with the provisions of the Declaration on the Elimination of All Forms of Intolerance and Discrimination Based on Religion or Belief, adopted in 1981.
وطلبت اللجنــة من المقرر الخاص، بناء علــى ذلك، مواصلة دراسـة هذه الحالات والتدابير الحكومية المتخذة التي تخالف أحكام اعلان القضاء على جميع أشكال التعصب والتمييز القائمين على أساس الدين أو المعتقد، الذي والتي اعتمد في عام ١٩٨١ على نطاق العالم.

12. Recognizes that the exercise of tolerance and non-discrimination by persons and groups is necessary for the full realization of the aims of the Declaration on the Elimination of All Forms of Intolerance and of Discrimination Based on Religion or Belief;
٢١- تسلم بأن قيام اﻷفراد والجماعات بممارســة التسامح وعـدم التمييــز ضـروري لتحقيــق أهداف اعلان القضاء على جميع أشكال التعصـب والتمييـز القائميــن علــى أسـاس الديـن أو المعتقد تحقيقا كاملا؛

Recognizing that the effective implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, adopted by the General Assembly in its resolution 34/180 of 18 December 1979, contributes to the elimination of violence against women and that the Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women strengthens and complements that process,
وإذ يسلم بأن التنفيذ الفعلي لاتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة، التي اعتمدتها الجمعية العامة في قرارها ٤٣/٠٨١ المؤرخ ٨١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ٩٧٩١، يسهم في القضاء على العنف ضد المرأة، وبأن اعلان القضاء على العنف ضد المرأة يعزز تلك العملية ويكملها،

(q) Include in reports submitted in accordance with the provisions of relevant United Nations human rights instruments, information pertaining to violence against women and measures taken to implement the Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women;
