35. The conference services requirements for the Conference of States Parties and the sessions of the Committee in the biennium 2010-2011 are estimated at $12,309,000, including $165,000 for one session of the Conference of States Parties and $12,144,000 for four sessions of the Committee.

By Article 23, a Permanent Secretariat was established empowered, inter alia, to make arrangements for sessions of the Conference of the Parties and its subsidiary bodies established under the Convention and to provide them with services as required;
