2. In decision 11/COP.1 on procedures for the communication of information and review of implementation, the COP requested the Parties to submit their reports to the secretariat at least six months prior to the session at which they were to be reviewed, and requested the secretariat to compile the summaries of reports submitted and to establish a synthesis of the reports, emphasizing trends in the implementation of the Convention.
2- وطلب مؤتمر الأطراف في المقرر 11/م أ-1 بشأن إجراءات إرسال المعلومات والنظر في تنفيذ الاتفاقية إلى الأطراف أن توجّه تقاريرها إلى الأمانة قبل ستة أشهر على الأقل من موعد انعقاد الدورة المقرر النظر فيها في التقارير ورجا من الأمانة أن تجمّع ملخصات التقارير المعروضة وأن تعد خلاصة لهذه التقارير تبرز فيها الاتجاهات التي تتجلى في تنفيذ الاتفاقية.

At its second session, the Conference of the Parties, by decision 10/COP.2, invited Parties to make submissions in writing to the Convention secretariat in anticipation of consideration of this decision, to be received by the secretariat no later than 30 April 1999, and requested the secretariat to compile submissions for consideration by the Conference of the Parties at its third session (ICCD/COP(2)/14/Add.1).
1- في المقرر 10/م أ-2 الذي اتخذه مؤتمر الأطراف في دورته الثانية، دعا الأطراف إلى التقدم بإسهامات خطية إلى أمانة الاتفاقية تحسباً للنظر في هذا المقرر، على أن تصل هذه الإسهامات إلى الأمانة في موعد أقصاه 30 نيسان/أبريل 1999، وطلب إلى الأمانة أن تجمّع الإسهامات لكي ينظر فيها المؤتمر في دورته الثالثة (ICCD/COP(2)/14/Add.1).
