The view was expressed that the benchmarking framework proposed by the Joint Inspection Unit and endorsed by the Committee for Programme and Coordination and the General Assembly was a useful tool for the Secretary-General and the oversight bodies to measure progress towards the effective implementation of results-based management in the United Nations.
