3- يسري مفعول الاعلان في ذات الوقت الذي يبدأ فيه نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة للدولة المعنية.

One of its aims was to raise the awareness of States of the provisions of article 76 of the Convention relating to the establishment of the outer limits of the continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles, bearing in mind the requirement of the Convention to submit particulars of such limits to the Commission within 10 years from the entry into force of the Convention for that State.
وتمثل أحد أهداف الاجتماع في زيادة إدراك الدول لأحكام المادة 76 المتعلقة بتعيين الجرف القاري الذي يتجاوز 200 ميل بحري، مع ملاحظة أن الاتفاقية تشترط بأن تقدم التفاصيل الخاصة بهذه الحدود إلى اللجنة خلال فترة لا تتجاوز 10 سنوات من تاريخ بدء نفاذ الاتفاقية بالنسبة للدولة المعنية.

3. States parties shall submit their reports for consideration by the Committee: within one year following the entry into force of this Convention for the State party in question; thereafter, every year or whenever requested by the Committee.
3 - توجه الدول الأطراف تقاريرها لتنظر فيها اللجنة: وذلك في أجل أقصاه عام واحد اعتبارا من بدء نفاذ الاتفاقية بالنسبة للدولة المعنية، وتبعث فيما بعد تقريرا كل سنة أو كلما طلبت منها اللجنة ذلك.
