The nineteenth meeting of the Forum of Ministers of Environment of Latin America and the Caribbean took place in Los Cabos, Mexico, from 11 to 14 March 2014.

In March 2014 the 19th Meeting of the Forum of Ministers of Environment for Latin America and the Caribbean adopted a decision reaffirming commitment to framework implementation and outlining key actions.

IV. Fourteenth Meeting of the Forum of Ministers of the Environment of Latin America and the Caribbean

Other essential elements include establishing links between the national focal points for sustainable development, the Forum of Ministers of the Environment of Latin America and the Caribbean and the Regional Meeting of Ministers and High-level Authorities of the Housing and Urban Development Sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.

4. The Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Centre is a regional research, education and development organization with 13 member countries, which has worked since 1973 to improve the livelihoods of rural people and protect the Environment in Latin America and the Caribbean.

A UNDP/UNEP partnership agreement was signed in October 1997 to prepare a strategy to consolidate " Tierramerica " , provide support within the priority areas of Ministers of Environment in Latin America and the Caribbean, and carry out a subregional study on trade and environment.
ووقع في تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ١٩٩٧ اتفاق الشراكة بين برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي وبرنامج اﻷمم المتحدة للبيئة ﻹعداد استراتيجية من أجل تدعيم الملحق " Tierramerica " ، وتوفير الدعم ضمن المجالات ذات اﻷولوية لوزراء البيئة في أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي، والاضطلاع بدراسة دون إقليمية عن التجارة والبيئة.

51. UNEP participates in the meetings of the Council for Trade and Economic Development on the environment and sustainable development, and facilitates the work of the Forum of Ministers of Environment for Latin America and the Caribbean.
51 - ويشارك برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة في اجتماعات مجلس التنمية التجارية والاقتصادية بشأن البيئة والتنمية المستدامة، ويـيـسِّـر عمل منتدى وزراء البيئة في أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي.

The Latin American and Caribbean Initiative for Sustainable Development was approved by the Forum of Ministers of the Environment of Latin American and the Caribbean at its first extraordinary meeting, held in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 31 August 2002 in the margins of the World Summit on Sustainable Development.
