The Assembly considered that the Committee could make a valuable and positive contribution to international efforts to promote the effective implementation of the Declaration of Principles on Interim Self-Government Arrangements, and requested it " to give special emphasis to the need to mobilize support for and assistance to the Palestinian people " in its programme of work for 1994.
ورأت الجمعية العامة أن اللجنة يمكن أن تقدم مساهمة قيمة وإيجابية في الجهود الدولية الرامية إلى تعزيز التنفيذ الفعال ﻹعلان المبادئ المتعلق بترتيبات الحكم الذاتي المؤقت وطلبت إليها " أن تشدد بشكل خاص على الحاجة الى تعبئة الدعم والمساعدة للشعب الفلسطيني " في برنامج عملها لعام ١٩٩٤.

In renewing the Committee's mandate at its forty-eighth session, the General Assembly had expressed the view that the Committee could make a valuable and positive contribution to international efforts to promote the effective implementation of the Declaration of Principles on Interim Self-Government Arrangements (S/26560) and mobilize international support for and assistance to the Palestinian people during the transitional period.
وإذ قامت الجمعية العامة بتجديد ولاية اللجنة في دورتها الثامنة واﻷربعين، فقد أكدت بذلك على أن اللجنة يمكنها المساهمة مساهمة مفيدة في الجهود الدولية المبذولة من أجل التوصل الى تطبيق فعال ﻹعلان المبادئ المتعلق بترتيبات الحكم الذاتي المؤقت )S/26560( ودفع المجتمع الدولي على تقديم الدعم والمساعدة للشعب الفلسطيني أثناء الفترة الانتقالية.
