40. The European Conference calls upon participating States to commit themselves to undertaking public information campaigns or other more long-term initiatives, to alert their societies to the dangers of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, anti-Semitism and related intolerance, and support initiatives of non-governmental organisations in this respect.
40- يطلب المؤتمر الأوروبي من الدول المشاركة أن تتعهد بتنظيم حملات إعلامية عامة أو أن تقوم بمبادرات أخرى أطول أجلاً لتنبيه مجتمعاتها إلى مخاطر العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكره الأجانب ومعاداة السامية وما يتصل بذلك من تعصب، وأن تدعم مبادرات المنظمات غير الحكومية في هذا الصدد.

42. The European Conference calls upon participating States to put experiences of the past, such as slavery, the slave trade and colonialism, into historical perspective allowing for a comprehensive reflection on these events in relation to the roots of racism, racial discrimination and xenophobia in contemporary society, and to ensure a widespread dissemination of this knowledge among young people.
42- ويطلب المؤتمر الأوروبي من الدول المشاركة أن تنظر إلى تجارب الماضية كالرق والاتجار بالرقيق والاستعمار من منظور تاريخي يسمح بالتفكير تفكيراً شاملاً في تلك التجارب من يحث صلتها بجذور العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكره الأجانب في المجتمع المعاصر، وأن تضمن نشر هذا الإدراك على نطاق واسع في صفوف الشباب.

44. Considering the phenomena of genocide, ethnic cleansing and racial segregation, which result in serious international humanitarian crises, the European Conference calls upon participating States to raise awareness of the said phenomena as manifestations of racism, racial discrimination and xenophobia.
44- وإذ يأخذ المؤتمر الأوروبي في اعتباره ظاهرات الإبادة الجماعية والتطهير الإثني والعزل العنصري التي تؤدي إلى أزمات إنسانية دولية خطيرة، يطلب من الدول المشاركة أن تزيد الوعي بالمظاهرات المذكورة لكونها تكشف عن العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكره الأجانب.

33. The European Conference calls upon participating States to aim at education reflecting a multicultural society, with curricula open to other cultures and school materials based on the diversity of cultures (intercultural education).
33- ويطلب المؤتمر الأوروبي من جميع الدول المشاركة أن تسعى إلى جعل التعليم انعكاساً لمجتمع متعدد الثقافات وجعل مناهجه منفتحة على ثقافات أخرى وإقامة المواد التدريسية على التنوع الثقافي (التعليم الجامع بين الثقافات).

41. The European Conference calls upon participating States to facilitate, including in conjunction with local authorities and the relevant professionals, group activities, for example in the cultural, sporting and socio-educational fields, aimed at educating young people in human rights and democratic citizenship and instilling in them values of solidarity, respect and appreciation of diversity.
41- ويطلب المؤتمر الأوروبي من الدول المشاركة أن تُيسّر، بالتعاون مع جهات منها السلطات المحلية والمهنيين ذوي الصلة أنشطة جماعية في مجالات مثل المجالات الثقافية والرياضية والاجتماعية - التثقيفية الرامية إلى تثقيف الشباب في مجال حقوق الإنسان والمواطنة الديمقراطية وغرس قيم التضامن واحترام التنوع وتقديره في نفوسهم.
