Issues of island developing countries will continue to receive attention, in particular through the implementation of the Programme of Action adopted by the Global Conference on the Sustainable Development of Small Island Developing States, held in 1994.

46. The Programme of Action adopted by the Global Conference on the Sustainable Development of Small Island Developing States (Barbados, 25 April-6 May 1994) received particular attention from UNDP.
٤٦ - وأولى البرنامج اﻹنمائي عناية خاصة لبرنامج العمل الذي اعتمده المؤتمر العالمي المعني بالتنمية المستدامة للدول الجزرية الصغيرة النامية )بربادوس، ٢٥ نيسان/أبريل - ٦ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٤(.

These aspects are fully recognized by the Programme of Action for the Sustainable Development of Small Island Developing States (SIDS), which was adopted by the Global Conference on the Sustainable Development of SIDS in Barbados in May 1994.

The adoption of the Hyogo Framework for Action, 2005-2015: Building the Resilience of Nations and Communities to Disasters,46 adopted at the World Conference on Disaster Reduction, held in Kobe, Hyogo, Japan, from 18 to 22 January 2005, underlined the importance of knowing risk and enhancing early warning to reduce disasters.
وأكد " إطار عمل هيوغو 2005-2015: بناء قدرة الأمم والمجتمعات على مواجهة الكوارث(46)، الذي اعتمده المؤتمر العالمي المعني بالحد من الكوارث المعقود في كوبي، هيوغو، اليابان، في الفترة من 18 إلى 22 كانون الثاني/يناير 2005 " أكد على أهمية معرفة المخاطر وتعزيز أنظمة الإنذار المبكر من أجل الحد من الكوارث.

5. The Committee notes that the State party has elaborated a national action plan for the implementation of the Programme of Action adopted at the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination and Related Xenophobia and Intolerance held in Durban in 2001, as well as annual plans to give effect to the Platform for Action adopted at the World Conference on Women, held in Beijing in 1995.
