42. All parties to the conflict in Darfur are also bound by the provisions of international humanitarian law laid out in common article 3 to the four Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949, which applies " in the case of armed conflict not of an international character " .
42- كما أن جميع أطراف الصراع الدائر في دارفور يجب أن تلتزم بأحكام القانون الإنساني الدولي المنصوص عليها في المادة 3 المشتركة بين اتفاقيات جنيف الأربع المؤرخة 12 آب/أغسطس 1949 والتي تنطبق " في حالة قيام نزاع مسلح ليس لـه طابع دولي " .

4. Decides that the measures referred to in subparagraphs 3 (d) and (e) shall enter into force 30 days from the date of adoption of this resolution, unless the Security Council determines before then that the parties to the conflict in Darfur have complied with all the commitments and demands referred to in paragraph 1 above and paragraph 6 below;
4 - يقرر أن يبدأ نفاذ التدابير المشار إليها في الفقرتين الفرعيتين 3 (د) و (هـ) بعد 30 يوما من تاريخ اتخاذ هذا القرار، ما لم يقرر مجلس الأمن قبل ذلك أن أطراف الصراع الدائر في دارفور قد امتثلت لجميع الالتزامات والمطالب المشار إليها في الفقرة 1 أعلاه والفقرة 6 أدناه؛

154. Besides representing a potential violation of the arms embargo imposed by the Security Council in resolutions 1556 (2004) and 1591 (2005), the provision of military equipment, supplies, financial support for such supplies or logistical support to parties to the conflict in Darfur constitutes an impediment to the peace process.
154 - علاوة على أن تزويد أطراف الصراع الدائر في دارفور بالمعدات العسكرية أو بالإمدادات أو بدعم مالي للحصول على هذه الإمدادات أو بدعم لوجستي يمثل انتهاكا للحظر المفروض على توريد السلاح بموجب قراري مجلس الأمن 1556 (2004) و 1591 (2005)، فإنه يمثل عقبة تعرقل عملية السلام.

8. Decides that the mandate of UNMIS in Darfur shall be to support implementation of the Darfur Peace Agreement of 5 May 2006 and the N'djamena Agreement on Humanitarian Cease-fire on the conflict in Darfur ( " the Agreements " ), including by performing the following tasks:
8 - يقرر أن تتمثل ولاية بعثة الأمم المتحدة في السودان العاملة في دارفور في دعم تنفيذ اتفاق دارفور للسلام المؤرخ 5 أيار/مايو 2006 واتفاق انجامينا بشأن وقف إطلاق النار لأسباب إنسانية في الصراع الدائر في دارفور ( " الاتفاقان " )، بوسائل منها أداء المهام التالية:

10. The Darfur Peace Agreement classifies six different categories of armed forces or groups as parties to the Darfur conflict.
10 - ويصنف اتفاق دارفور للسلام ست فئات مختلفة من القوات أو الجماعات المسلحة كأطراف في الصراع الدائر في دارفور.

Due to one of the most worrisome conflicts on the African continent -- the one raging in Darfur -- the situation in the Sudan and nearby countries is still unpredictable and explosive.
ونتيجة لأحد أكثر الصراعات إثارة للقلق في القارة الأفريقية - الصراع الدائر في دارفور - فإن الحالة في السودان وفي البلدان المجاورة لا تزال حالة متفجرة ولا يمكن توقع نتائجها.
