21. Among the countries that have already implemented the system, the member States of the European Union updated their legal instruments in accordance with the provisions of the third revised edition of the Globally Harmonized System in 2011 and 2012.

(a) To circulate the amendments to the third revised edition of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals to the Governments of Member States, the specialized agencies and other international organizations concerned;

21. Among the countries which have already implemented the system, New Zealand and the member States of the European Union started in 2010 the work to update their legal instruments in accordance with the provisions of the third revised edition of the Globally Harmonized System.

43. On the basis of that work, the Committee adopted amendments11 to the third revised edition of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals intended to update, clarify or to complement the System concerning, in particular, the following:

(g) That, in the United States of America, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration of the Department of Labor published on 30 September 2009 a proposed rule to modify its existing Hazard Communication Standard to conform with the third revised edition of the Globally Harmonized System;
(ز) أن إدارة السلامة والصحة المهنيتين التابعة لوزارة العمل نشرت في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في 30 أيلول/سبتمبر 2009 قاعدة تقترح فيها تعديل معيارها الحالي للإبلاغ عن المخاطر كي يتوافق مع الطبعة الثالثة المنقحة من النظام المتوائم على الصعيد العالمي،

(d) That in Australia, the Model Work Health and Safety legislation and its related regulations and Codes of Practice implementing the provisions of the third revised edition of the Globally Harmonized System of Classifications and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS), have already entered into force in five out of nine of the Australian jurisdictions in January 2012, and are expected to enter into force in two additional jurisdictions in January 2013;
(د) أن أستراليا دخل فيها نموذج العمل بشأن تشريعات الصحة والسلامة والأنظمة المتصلة به ومدونات الممارسات لتنفيذ أحكام الطبعة الثالثة المنقحة من النظام المنسق عالمياً حيز النفاذ بالفعل في 5 ولايات قضائية أسترالية من أصل 9 في كانون الثاني/ يناير 2012، ومن المتوقع أن تدخل حيز النفاذ في ولايتين إضافيتين من الولايات القضائية في كانون الثاني/يناير 2013(8)؛

(d) That in Australia, the Model Work Health and Safety legislation and its related regulations and codes of practice implementing the provisions of the third revised edition of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals already entered into force in five of the nine Australian jurisdictions in January 2012 and were expected to enter into force in two additional jurisdictions in January 2013,
(د) أن نموذج العمل المتعلق بتشريعات الصحة والسلامة والأنظمة ومدونات الممارسات المتصلة به لتنفيذ أحكام الطبعة الثالثة المنقحة من النظام المنسق عالميا لتصنيف المواد الكيميائية ووسمها بدأ نفاذه في أستراليا بالفعل في خمس من تسع ولايات قضائية أسترالية في كانون الثاني/يناير 2012، ومن المتوقع أن يبدأ نفاذه في ولايتين أخريين من الولايات القضائية في كانون الثاني/يناير 2013،

(b) To publish a twelfth revised version of the Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods: Model Regulations, and amendments to the third revised edition of the Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods: Manual of Tests and Criteria in all the official languages of the United Nations, in the most cost-effective manner, not later than the end of 2001;
(ب) نشر النسخة الثانية عشرة المنقحة() من التوصيات المتعلقة بنقل البضائع الخطرة: النظام النموذجي، والتعديلات على الطبعة الثالثة المنقحة من التوصيات المتعلقة بنقل البضائع الخطرة: دليل الاختبارات والمعايير() بجميع اللغات الرسمية للأمم المتحدة، وبأكثر الطرق فعالية من حيث التكاليف، وفي موعد لا يتجاوز نهاية عام 2001؛
