(a) Number and percentage of children below the minimum age of employment who are involved in child labour as defined by the Minimum Age Convention, 1973 (No. 138) and the Worst Forms of Child Labour Convention, 1999 (No. 182) of the International Labour Organization disaggregated by type of employment;

30. Aware that children were the support of society and the ultimate objects of development, Oman had acceded to all the relevant international instruments, including the Convention on the Rights of the Child and its two Optional Protocols, as well as International Labour Organization Convention No. 138 on the minimum age for admission to employment.

(b) ILO Convention No. 138 (1973) concerning Minimum Age for Admission to employment and ILO Convention No. 182 (1999) concerning the prohibition and immediate action for the elimination of the worst forms of child labour, in 2000.

Bahrain had become a party to the Convention in 1992, as well as to a number of texts of the International Labour Organization, including Convention 182 concerning the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour (1999) and Convention 138 concerning Minimum Age for Admission to Employment (1973).

Other instruments ratified by Oman included the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, supplementing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, ILO Convention No. 138 concerning Minimum Age for Admission to Employment, and the two Optional Protocols to the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

It referred to reports by the Committee on the Rights of the Child and UNICEF on child labour and recommended that Romania take effective steps to ensure implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and ILO Conventions No. 138 concerning Minimum Age for Admission to Employment and No. 182 concerning the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour.

As of August 2006, 146 countries had ratified ILO Convention No. 138 concerning the minimum age for admission to Employment, and 161 countries had ratified ILO Convention No. 182 concerning the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour.
واعتبارا من آب/أغسطس 2006، صدَّق 146 بلدا على اتفاقية منظمة العمل الدولية رقم 138 المتعلقة بالحد الأدنى لسن الالتحاق بالعمل، وصدق 161 بلدا على اتفاقية منظمة العمل الدولية رقم 182 المتعلقة بحظر أسوأ أشكال عمل الأطفال واتخاذ إجراءات فورية للقضاء عليها.

36. The Committee welcomes the ratification of International Labour Organization Conventions No. 138 concerning the minimum age for admission to employment and 182 concerning the prohibition and immediate action for the elimination of the worst forms of child labour.
36- وترحب اللجنة بالتصديق على اتفاقيتي منظمة العمل الدولية رقم 138 المتعلقة بالحد الأدنى لسن الالتحاق بالعمل، ورقم 182 المتعلقة بحظر أسوأ أشكال تشغيل الأطفال واتخاذ تدابير فورية للقضاء عليها.

(d) Consider ratifying ILO Convention No. 138 (1973) concerning the minimum age for admission to employment.
