30. Article 6 on the right to work and article 7 on conditions of work deal with a number of specific rights that should be viewed in the context of the major conventions concluded under the auspices of ILO.

The Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain confirms the information contained in its sixth and seventh periodic reports regarding the guarantees of equality and non-discrimination provided by the Kingdom's legal system. These guarantees are spelt out, inter alia, in the Constitutional provisions on the right to work, to education and to health.

In 2003, the Committee held its thirtieth (5-23 May 2003) and thirty-first (10-28 November 2003) sessions at which it, inter alia, discussed draft general comment on article 3 of the Covenant (thirty-first session) and held its day of general discussion on the right to work (article 6 of the Covenant).

In 2009, OHCHR and national experts supported by UNDP prepared a study on the application in Armenian courts of international standards on the right to work and to just and favourable conditions of work.

The Committee on Economic and Social Rights, at its thirty-fifth session, held from 7 to 25 November 2005, adopted general comment 17, on article 15.1 (c) of the Covenant on the right to benefit from the protection of the moral and material interests resulting from any scientific, literary or artistic production of which he is the author, and general comment 18, on article 6 of the Covenant, on the right to work.
7 - وقامت لجنة الحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية في دورتها الخامسة والثلاثين، المعقودة في الفترة من 7 إلى 25 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2005، باعتماد التعليق العام رقم 17 بشأن المادة 15-1 (ج) من العهد المتعلقة بحق الفرد في الاستفادة من حماية المصالح المعنوية والمادية الناجمة عن أي إنتاج علمي أو أدبي أو فني من صنعه، وكذلك التعليق العام رقم 18 بشأن المادة 6 من العهد المتعلقة بالحق في العمل.

56. This general principle is included in the Constitution in several articles and in particular in article 15 on the principle of equality, article 26/3 on the family, marriage and paternity, article 32 on freedom of the choice of a profession, article 42/3 on the right to work, article 55 on the right to education, article 57 on participation in public affairs and article 64/2 on the duty to defend the country.
