MICIVIH representatives informed the Special Rapporteur that since 1995 it had included human rights of women and violence against women in its programmes.

Thanks to the cooperation and technical assistance of the International Civilian Mission to Haiti (MICIVIH), the Government is in the process of implementing a comprehensive reform of the judicial system and a mass education campaign designed to promote respect for the fundamental rights of all citizens.
