5. In her letter dated 12 September 2012, the Controller informed the Advisory Committee that the liquidation of UNSMIS was expected to continue for up to three months, from 20 August to 19 November 2012.
5 - وأبلغت المراقِبة المالية اللجنة الاستشارية، في رسالتها المؤرخة 12 أيلول/سبتمبر 2012، بأن تصفية البعثة يتوقع أن تستغرق مدة تصل إلى ثلاثة أشهر، من 20 آب/أغسطس إلى 19 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2012.

The Controller also explained that earmarking was in itself a form of prioritization, hence constraining the High Commissioner's ability to prioritize.

In response to the Controller's request on 12 September 2012, the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions granted its concurrence on 16 October 2012 to extend the validity period of the original commitment authority for an additional three-month period, until 19 November 2012, to allow the Mission to implement its liquidation activities.
