87. The African States should give further consideration to the issue of racial discrimination by taking immediate and effective steps, as pointed out in article 7 of the Convention, to combat prejudices that lead to racial discrimination and to promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among nations and racial and ethnic groups.
٧٨- ولا بد للدول الافريقية أن تنظر مزيداً في مسألة التمييز العنصري، باتخاذها، كما تنص المادة ٧ من الاتفاقية، اجراءات فورية وفعالة من أجل مكافحة النعرات المؤدية إلى التمييز العنصري وتعزيزاً للتفاهم والتسامح والصداقة بين اﻷمم والجماعات العرقية واﻹثنية.

The seminar was also reminded that States parties had undertaken to adopt effective measures to promote understanding and tolerance to combat prejudices which lead to racial discrimination and to promote understanding and tolerance, pursuant to article 7 of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
وذكَّر الحلقة الدراسية أيضاً بأن الدول الأطراف قد تعهدت، عملاً بالمادة 7 من الاتفاقية الدولية للقضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز العنصري، باتخاذ تدابير فعالة لتعزيز التفاهم والتسامح بغية مكافحة النعرات المؤدية إلى التمييز العنصري.

16. Article 7 of the Convention stresses the importance of adopting measures in the fields of teaching, education, culture and information with a view to combating prejudices which lead to racial discrimination.
16- وتؤكد المادة 7 من الاتفاقية على أهمية اعتماد تدابير في مجالات التعليم والتربية والثقافة والإعلام بغية مكافحة النعرات المؤدية إلى التمييز العنصري.

37. The Kingdom's Constitution (the Koran and the Sunna) and the Basic Law contain provisions that guarantee measures to combat prejudices which lead to racial discrimination, as has already been clearly explained above.

It is probably for that reason that States are called upon to comply with the provisions of article 7 of the Convention which stipulates that “States parties undertake to adopt immediate and effective measures, particularly in the fields of teaching, education, culture and information, with a view to combating prejudices which lead to racial discrimination ...”.
وهذا هو، بلا أي ريب، السبب الذي يجعل من واجب الدول تطبيق الأحكام المنصوص عليها في المادة 7 من الاتفاقية التي تنص على أن " تتعهد الدول الأطراف بأن تتخذ تدابير فورية وفعالة، لا سيما في ميادين التعليم والتربية والثقافة والاعلام، بغية مكافحة النعرات المؤدية إلى التمييز العنصري (...) " .

81. Jordan has exerted considerable efforts, particularly in the educational, cultural and the media spheres, to combat prejudices that lead to various forms of discrimination. At the domestic and international levels, moreover, Jordan has also been working to promote understanding, tolerance and friendship between nations and cultures.
81- بذل الأردن جهودا كبيرة لا سيما في ميادين التعليم والتربية والثقافة والإعلام بغية مكافحة النعرات المؤدية إلى التمييز أياً كان نوعه، كما عمل على تعزيز التفاهم والتسامح والصداقة بين الأمم والثقافات المختلفة على المستوى المحلي والدولي.
