ب إ ٣-٥٦ تم في عام ١٩٩٤ تسليم منظمة اﻷمم المتحدة للتنمية الصناعية )اليونيدو( المسؤولية اﻹدارية عن خدمة إدارة المرأب العامة في مركز فيينا الدولي الى مكتب اﻷمم المتحدة في فيينا.

The Secretary-General proposes to transfer to the United Nations Office at Vienna the functions that have been carried out by the staff at Geneva; in this connection 17 posts are proposed to be transferred from Geneva to Vienna and New York, 3 posts are proposed to be abolished, and 1 additional P-3 post is proposed to be established at Vienna, resulting in a reduction of $1,422,200.
ويقترح اﻷمين العام أن تنقل الى مكتب اﻷمم المتحدة في فيينا المهام التي كان يضطلع بها الموظفون في جنيف؛ وفي هذا الصدد يُقترح نقل ١٧ وظيفة من جنيف الى فيينا ونيويورك، وإلغاء ثلاث وظائف، وإنشاء وظيفة إضافية واحدة من الرتبة ف - ٣ في فيينا، وهو ما ينتج عنه انخفاض قدره ٢٠٠ ٤٢٢ ١ دولار.

Following the adoption of that resolution, significant progress had been achieved in the negotiations between the United Nations and UNIDO at the end of 1993, culminating in the adoption of a resolution by the General Conference of UNIDO at its fifth session (A/C.5/49/24, para. 5) concerning the transfer of administrative responsibility for conference services from UNIDO to the United Nations Office at Vienna.
وعقب اعتماد ذلك القرار، أحرز تقدم كبير في المفاوضات التي أجريت بين اﻷمم المتحدة واليونيدو في أواخر عام ١٩٩٣، وهي المفاوضات التي انتهت باعتماد المؤتمر العام لليونيدو في دورته الخامسة للقرار )A/C.5/49/24 الفقرة ٥( بشأن نقل المسؤولية اﻹدارية عن خدمات المؤتمرات من اليونيدو الى مكتب اﻷمم المتحدة في فيينا.
