Informed by the Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement and the Framework on Durable Solutions for Internally Displaced Persons, the Special Rapporteur reiterates his recommendations made in his previous reports (A/HRC/19/54 and A/68/225) and adds the following recommendations to:

The fact that Member States recognized the Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement as an important international framework for the protection of internally displaced persons in the 2005 World Summit Outcome and stressed their resolve to take effective measures to increase the protection of such persons is also a significant step towards finding solutions to the plight of internally displaced persons.

Recognizes the Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement as an important international framework for the protection of internally displaced persons, and encourages member States and humanitarian agencies to continue to work together in endeavours to provide a more predictable response to the needs of internally displaced persons, and in this regard calls for international support, upon request, to capacity building efforts of States;
5- يُسلِّم بالمبادئ التوجيهية المتعلقة بالتشرد الداخلي بوصفها إطاراً دولياً هاماً لحماية المشردين داخلياً، ويشجع الدول الأعضاء والوكالات الإنسانية على مواصلة العمل معاً في سياق الجهود الرامية إلى الاستجابة على نحو يمكن التنبؤ به بدرجة أكبر لاحتياجات المشردين داخلياً، ويدعو في هذا الصدد إلى تقديم الدعم الدولي، بناءً على طلبه، لجهود الدول في مجال بناء القدرات؛

Notes the adoption by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee of the Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement, and invites the representative of the Secretary-General on internally displaced persons to pay special attention to the situation of internally displaced children in his work and to continue working closely with the Emergency Relief Coordinator and all agencies and organizations involved;
