2. It was reasonable for the Pension Fund to defray the full increase in external audit costs, so that 60 per cent of the costs would be met by the United Nations and 40 per cent by the Pension Fund, pending the concept paper on administrative arrangements between the Fund and the Organization.

22. Her delegation supported the recommendations of the Board on administrative arrangements between the Fund, the United Nations and other member organizations. She also supported the recommendation contained in document A/C.5/53/3 that the Secretary-General should complete his consultations with other member organizations on the methodology for apportioning charges for services rendered to the Fund on their behalf by the United Nations.

5. The position of WTO on the administrative arrangements for ITC has stemmed from the past experience of GATT regarding the review and approval of the ITC budget and its budget performance reports.

At its session in 1996, the Board requested the CEO/Secretary to prepare a concept paper on the administrative arrangements between the Fund and the United Nations and with the other member organizations of the Fund, together with an analysis of their adequacy for the Fund’s operations over the next 10 years or longer.

1. The Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions has considered the report of the Secretary-General (A/C.5/52/25) and the note by the Secretariat (A/C.5/52/45) on administrative arrangements for the International Trade Centre UNCTAD/WTO.

The Board took note of the oral report of the Chairman of the Joint Advisory Group on the International Trade Centre UNCTAD/WTO at its thirty-first session (Morocco), as well as of the action taken by the General Assembly on administrative arrangements for the International Trade Centre.
٦- أحاط المجلس علما بالتقرير الشفوي لرئيس الفريق اﻹستشاري المشترك المعني بمركز التجارة الدولية المشترك بين اﻷونكتاد ومنظمة التجارة العالمية في دورته الحادية والثلاثين )المغرب(، كما أحاط علما بالاجراء الذي اتخذته الجمعية العامة بشأن الترتيبات اﻹدارية لمركز التجارة الدولية.

Paragraphs 34 to 66 contained a summary of the studies undertaken concerning the administrative arrangements between the Fund and the United Nations and with the other member organizations, which had impacted on the budget proposals submitted by the Chief Executive Officer of the Fund for the biennium 2000-2001.
