١٢١ - يقوم معهد اﻷمم المتحدة اﻷقاليمي ﻷبحاث الجريمة والعدالة بإعداد تحليل للبيانات المتعلقة بضحايا الجريمة من النساء والتي جمعت في الدراسة الاستقصائية الدولية لعام ١٩٩٢ عن ضحايا الجريمة، عما مجموعه ٣٠ بلدا.

As noted above, there was little in terms of specific international norms relating to Victims of Crime until the United Nations General Assembly, by its resolution 40/34 of 29 November 1985, adopted the Declaration of Basic Principles of Justice for Victims of Crime and Abuse of Power (Victims Declaration) in 1985.

As to Victims of Crime and abuse of power, several initiatives have been taken to foster the effective use of the Declaration of Basic Principles of Justice for Victims of Crime and Abuse of Power that should contribute to the improvement of the treatment of victims.
٥٣ - وفيما يتعلق بضحايا الجريمة والتعسف في استعمال السلطة ، قدمت عدة مبادرات لتشجيع الاستخدام الفعال لاعلان المبادئ اﻷساسية لتوفير العدالة لضحايا الجريمة والتعسف في استعمال السلطة ، وهذا من شأنه أن يسهم في تحسين معاملة الضحايا .

One of the initiatives is a crime victim Fund that will provide economic support to activities aimed at improving the situation for crime victims, initiated by researchers, NGOs, public bodies, private institutions and others who deal with problems concerning crime victims in their profession.
ويمثل صندوق ضحايا الجريمة إحدى المبادرات التي من شأنها توفير الدعم الاقتصادي للأنشطة الرامية إلى تحسين حالة ضحايا الجريمة، والتي بدأها الباحثون والمنظمات غير الحكومية والهيئات العامة والمؤسسات الخاصة وغير ذلك من الجهات التي تتعامل مع المشاكل المتعلقة بضحايا الجريمة في مجال عملها.
