Today, the Governments of Belize and Guatemala have an opportunity finally to settle that dispute by juridical means, specifically through referral to the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

We applaud the completion of the facilitation process between Belize and Guatemala, under the auspices of the Organization of American States and with a significant contribution from Honduras, on their centuries-old border dispute.
