11. Ms. Taya hailed Nepal's efforts to strengthen democracy since 1990, particularly its effort to improve girls' education and promote grass-roots democracy.

23. Ms. Taya expressed concern that many of the provisions of the Second Equal Rights Act applied only to public sector employees, even though Governments were required under the Convention to treat public and private sector employees on an equal footing.
23 - السيدة تايا: أعربت عن القلق لأن أحكاما كثيرة في القانون الثاني للحقوق المتساوية تنطبق فقط على العاملين في القطاع العام، برغم أن الحكومات مطالبة، بموجب الاتفاقية، أن تعامل موظفي القطاعين العام والخاص على قدم المساواة.

15. Ms. Taya said that, in the interest of broadening understanding of the issues, the Government of Cuba should allow greater transparency with regard to the situation of prisoners of conscience and the independence of the judiciary.
