The compilation and analysis of legal norms pertaining to internally displaced persons already serves as a useful reference point for monitoring situations of displacement, assessing the needs of the displaced and the degree to which they are being met.
ويستخدم فعلاً تجميع وتحليل القواعد القانونية المتعلقة بالمشردين داخلياً كنقطة مرجعية مفيدة لرصد حالات التشريد، وتقييم احتياجات المشردين، ومدى تلبية هذه الاحتياجات.

The aim of the compilation and analysis of legal norms is to identify the existing international norms relevant to the protection of internally displaced persons, and to assess whether these norms adequately cover their needs for protection and assistance, or whether there are gaps or weaknesses in the coverage.

٦٨ - وقد نشر الرقم ١٠ من سلسلة الدراسات حماية تراث الشعوب اﻷصلية باللغات الاسبانية والانكليزية والروسية والصينية؛ ويجري طبع الرقم ٩ من سلسلة الدراسات تجميع وتحليل القواعد القانونية المنطبقة على المشردين داخليا باللغة الانكليزية.

The following month, in resolution 1998/50, adopted without a vote and sponsored by 55 States, the Commission noted the progress made by the Representative in developing a legal framework, in particular the compilation and analysis of legal norms and the development of the Guiding Principles.
10- وفي الشهر التالي، في القرار 1998/50 المعتمد بدون تصويت والمقدم من 55 دولة، لاحظت لجنة حقوق الإنسان التقدم الذي أحرزه ممثل الأمين العام في وضع إطار قانوني، ولا سيما تجميع وتحليل القواعد القانونية ووضع " المبادئ التوجيهية " .
