499. the Committee welcomes the adoption of the Sexual Offences Act of 1995 which protects the child against incest, but is concerned that the Offences Against the Person Act protects only girl children from rape and not boys, and that there are no local laws that specifically deal with the issue of protecting children against psychological violence.

373. the Committee welcomes the adoption of the Status of Children Act in 2002 which, inter alia, abolished the distinction between children born in wedlock and children born out of wedlock, particularly in relation to intestacy.

12. the Committee welcomes the adoption of the 2006 - 2015 National Plan of Action on the Rights of the Child and the development of local action plans for the implementation of the Convention by 53 (out of 83) municipalities.

26. While the Committee welcomes the adoption of the Law on Prevention and Protection from Discrimination and provisions for the setting up of an anti-discrimination body, the Committee is concerned that the new law does not explicitly cover certain grounds for discrimination and that it provides a long list of " exceptions " from what constitutes discrimination, which may jeopardize the best interests of the child.
26- بينما ترحّب اللجنة باعتماد قانون الوقاية والحماية من التمييز وأحكام لإقامة هيئة لمكافحة التمييز، فإنها تشعر بالقلق لأن القانون الجديد لا يشمل صراحةً أسساً معيّنة للتمييز ولأنه ينصّ على قائمة طويلة من " الاستثناءات " مما يشكِّل تمييزاً، وهو ما قد يعرِّض للخطر المصالح الفضلى للطفل.

12. the Committee welcomes the adoption, in line with the Committee's earlier recommendations (CRC/C/15/Add.257, para. 18), of the National Plan of Action on CRC/CRA 2009-2015 which " puts children first as a state policy " and which emphasizes health, education, and protection of children.
12- ترحّب اللجنة باعتماد خطة العمل الوطنية، تماشياً مع التوصيات السابقة المقدَّمة من اللجنة (CRC/C/15/Add.257، الفقرة 18)، بشأن اتفاقية حقوق الطفل/قانون حقوق الطفل للفترة 2009-2015، التي " تضع الأطفال أولاً في إطار سياسة الولاية " وتشدِّد على صحة الأطفال وتعليمهم وحمايتهم.

21. the Committee welcomes the adoption of the Act on Femicide and Other Forms of Violence against Women (Decree 22-2008) and the reinforcement of the National Coordinating Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Violence against Women to address the issue of violence against women, including domestic violence.
