Stressing the need to strengthen the United Nations Habitat and Human Settlements Foundation to facilitate requisite investments for improving human settlements for low-income and poor people, particularly in developing and transitional-economy countries,
وإذْ يؤكد ضرورة تعزيز مؤسسة الأمم المتحدة للموئل والمستوطنات البشرية لتيسير حصول ذوي الدخل المنخفض والفقراء من السكان على الاستثمارات اللازمة لتحسين المستوطنات البشرية، وبخاصة في البلدان النامية والبلدان التي تمر اقتصاداتها بمرحلة انتقال،

In it the General Assembly called on the Executive Director to strengthen the United Nations Habitat and Human Settlements Foundation (the Foundation) in order to achieve its primary operative objective as set out in resolution 3327 (XXIX).

The Committee was also briefed by the Executive Director on the developments at the sixty-first session of the General Assembly and on the strengthening of the United Nations Habitat and Human Settlements Foundation.
