The Committee on the Rights of the Child has interpreted the procedural guarantees in article 37 (d) of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in its general comment No. 10 (2007) on children's rights in juvenile justice.

The organization has been chosen by the Committee on the Rights of the Child as the organization most suitable to follow up on general comment No. 10 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (children's rights in juvenile justice).

In particular the Committee recommends that the State party, while taking into account the Committee's general comment No. 10 (2007) on children's rights in juvenile justice:

The Committee, in its general comment No. 10 on children's rights in juvenile justice (2007) and in its concluding observations, has consistently affirmed that the arrest, detention or imprisonment of a child may be used only as a measure of last resort.
وقد أكدت اللجنة مراراً، في تعليقها العام رقم 10 بشأن حقوق الطفل في قضاء الأحداث (2007) وفي ملاحظاتها الختامية، على أنه لا يجوز اعتقال طفل أو احتجازه أو سجنه إلا في إطار تدبير يُتخذ كملاذ أخير().

Responses also highlighted the importance of the adoption of a comprehensive approach to juvenile justice at the national level, an approach urged by the Committee on the Rights of the Child in its general comment No. 10 on children's rights in juvenile justice (2007).

The Committee urges the State party to bring its juvenile justice system fully into line with the Convention, in particular articles 37, 39 and 40, as well as with other relevant standards and the Committee's general comment No. 10 (2007) on children's rights in juvenile justice.
75- تحث اللجنة الدولة الطرف على التوفيق التام بين نظامها لعدالة الأحداث والاتفاقية، لا سيما المواد 37 و39 و40، وكذلك مع معايير أخرى متصلة بالموضوع ومع تعليق اللجنة العام رقم 10(2007) بشأن حقوق الطفل في قضاء الأحداث.

The Committee recommends that the State party adopt the bills on children with a view to raising the age of criminal responsibility to internationally acceptable standards, as expressed in general comment No. 10 (2007) of the Committee on the Rights of the Child on children's rights in juvenile justice (paras. 32 and 33).

The State party should raise the minimum age of criminal responsibility and ensure the full implementation of juvenile justice standards, as expressed in general comment No. 10 (2007) on children's rights in juvenile justice of the Committee on the Rights of the Child (paras. 32 and 33).
