In that resolution, the Council requested me to consult with the Government of Burundi to determine the modalities for implementing a gradual disengagement of the United Nations peacekeeping presence and an adjustment to its mandate on the basis of the recommendations contained in the letter from the Government of Burundi to the President of the Security Council dated 23 November 2005 (S/2005/736).

Invites the Government of Burundi to take more measures, including in the judicial sphere, to put an end to impunity, in particular by bringing to trial those responsible for violations of human rights and of international humanitarian law, in accordance with relevant international principles, and urges the Government to accelerate the specific procedures for inquiries in case of such violations;
٣١- تدعو حكومة بوروندي إلى اتخاذ المزيد من التدابير، ولا سيما في المجال القضائي، لوضع حد لحالات اﻹفلات من العقوبة، وذلك بصفة خاصة من خلال محاكمة المسؤولين عن انتهاكات حقوق اﻹنسان والقانون اﻹنساني الدولي، وفقا للمبادئ الدولية ذات الصلة، وتحث الحكومة على التعجيل في إجراءات التحقيق المحددة في حالة حدوث مثل هذه اﻹنتهاكات؛

13.
