We commend the efforts by all the 2013 Presidents of the Conference on Disarmament to reach a consensus on the programme of work.

In accordance with the above, I am pleased to announce that the 2007 Presidents of the Conference on Disarmament appoint the following persons as coordinators, namely:

In this regard, appointment of a coordinator for substantive discussion on nuclear disarmament, as suggested in the draft decision of the six Presidents of the Conference on Disarmament, would be a good start.

5. In view of the above, the 2007 Presidents of the Conference on Disarmament propose the following:

In accordance with the above and without any prejudice to the agenda, I am pleased to announce that the Presidents of the Conference on Disarmament for 2008 appoint the following coordinators under their own responsibility:
وطبقاً لما ذكر سالفاً وبدون المساس بجدول الأعمال، يسرني أن أعلن أن رؤساء مؤتمر نزع السلاح لعام 2008 قد عينوا المنسقين التاليين تحت مسؤوليتهم:

I would also like to express my gratitude to all of the successive Presidents of the Conference on Disarmament in 2007 and 2008 with whom I have had the honour and the pleasure to work.
وأودّ أيضاً أن أعبّر عن تقديري لجميع رؤساء مؤتمر نزع السلاح المتعاقبين في عامي 2007 و2008، الذين شرّفني وأسعدني العمل معهم.

As one of the 2008 Presidents of the Conference on Disarmament, Turkey believes that the Conference has a major role to play with regard to nuclear issues, a fissile material cut-off treaty and parallel advances on negative security assurances and the prevention of an arms race in outer space.

9. In addition to the official documents listed below, some informal proposals related to the programme of work were also put forward by the Presidents of the Conference on Disarmament.

In this spirit, and using as a basis the proposal contained in document CD/1624 submitted by Ambassador Amorim, together with the valuable recommendations of the Presidents of the Conference on Disarmament who preceded me in this office, I propose to continue undertaking consultations with a view to identifying possible ways of arriving at a consensus for agreeing on a programme of work for the Conference.
وانطلاقاً من هذه الروح، واستناداً إلى المقترح الوارد في الوثيقة CD/1624 المقدمة من السفير آموريم، إضافة إلى التوصيات القيّمة التي قدمها رؤساء مؤتمر نزع السلاح الذين سبقوني في هذا المنصب، أقترح مواصلة عقد مشاورات بغية تحديد السُبل الممكنة للتوصل إلى توافق في الآراء للاتفاق على برنامج عمل للمؤتمر.
