In this connection, Morocco welcomes the Secretary-General's proposal to reconstitute the Centre for Disarmament Affairs into the Department for Disarmament and Arms Regulation.
وفي هذا الصدد، يرحب المغرب باقتراح اﻷمين العام بتحويل مركز شؤون نزع السلاح إلى إدارة لنزع السلاح وتنظيم التسلح.

Reform is in the air, and I would wish to commend the Secretary-General for the proposal in the reform package to upgrade the Centre for Disarmament Affairs into a Department for Disarmament and Arms Regulation, under the direction of an Under-Secretary-General.

It is with this notion that Thailand has studied with great interest the Secretary-General's proposal to upgrade the Centre for Disarmament Affairs to a new Department for Disarmament and Arms Regulation.
وانطلاقا من هذا الاعتقاد درست تايلند باهتمام كبير اقتراح اﻷمين العام برفع مركز شؤون نزع السلاح إلى مستوى إدارة لنزع السلاح وتنظيم التسلح جديدة.

31. The most important results achieved through the provision of substantive support and analytical and organizational assistance by the Department for Disarmament Affairs to intergovernmental bodies included:
31 - شملت أهم النتائج التي تحققت خلال الدعم الفني والمساعدة التحليلية والتنظيمية المقدمة من جانب إدارة شؤون نزع السلاح إلى الهيئات الحكومية الدولية، ما يلي:

20. Participants called upon the Department for Disarmament Affairs to strengthen its cooperation with regional organizations in order to provide them with expert advice, assist their members in enacting relevant legislation and assist the organizations in establishing adequate regional mechanisms.
20 - ودعا المشتركون إدارة شؤون نزع السلاح إلى تعزيز تعاونها مع المنظمات الإقليمية وتزويدها بمشورة الخبراء، ومساعدة أعضائها في سن التشريعات ذات الصلة وتقديم المساعدة لها في مجال إنشاء آليات إقليمية ملائمة.

(b) The Committee decided to invite the Department for Disarmament Affairs to take part in the eighteenth ministerial meeting in order to give a presentation on the objectives of the United Nations register of conventional weapons and of the reporting of military expenditures.

The Committee requested the High Representative for Disarmament Affairs to issue an updated report on the possibility of strengthening support from the Office for Disarmament Affairs to the Committee, including by strengthening the regional capacity of the Office to support implementation of the resolution at the regional, subregional and national levels.
57 - طلبت اللجنة من الممثل السامي لشؤون نزع السلاح أن يصدر تقريرا مستكملا عن إمكانية تعزيز الدعم الذي يقدمه مكتب شؤون نزع السلاح إلى اللجنة، وذلك بوسائل منها تعزيز القدرات الإقليمية للمكتب التي تتيح له دعم القرار على الصعد الإقليمي ودون الإقليمي والوطني.

251. Following the establishment of UNOCA, in May 2011 the Secretary-General decided to transfer the secretariat functions of the United Nations Standing Advisory Committee on Security Questions in Central Africa from the Office for Disarmament Affairs to the Department of Political Affairs.
251 - بعد إنشاء مكتب الأمم المتحدة الإقليمي لوسط أفريقيا، قرر الأمين العام، في أيار/مايو 2011، نقل مهام السكرتارية التي كانت تضطلع بها أمانة لجنة الأمم المتحدة الاستشارية الدائمة المعنية بمسائل الأمن في وسط أفريقيا من مكتب شؤون نزع السلاح إلى إدارة الشؤون السياسية.

60. While supporting the transformation of the Centre for Disarmament Affairs into a new Department of Disarmament Affairs, his delegation reminded the Committee that the elaboration of strategies and policies to halt weapons proliferation was the task of Member States.
٦٠ - وأشار إلى أن وفده وإن كان يؤيد تحويل مركز شؤون نزع السلاح إلى إدارة جديدة لنزع السلاح، فإنه يذكﱢر اللجنة بأن وضع استراتيجيات وسياسات لوقف انتشار اﻷسلحــة هو مهمة الدول اﻷعضــاء.
