10. Article 44 of the Constitution also stipulated that the rights and guarantees provided for therein should not exclude other rights and freedoms forming part of international instruments ratified by Guatemala.
١٠ - وأشار إلى أن المادة ٤٤ من الدستور قد اشترطت أيضا ضرورة ألا تستثنى الحقوق والضمانات المنصوص عليها في الدستور أية حقوق أو حريات أخرى تشكل جزءا من الصكوك الدولية التي صدقت عليها غواتيمالا.

11. Since Guatemalan law was subordinate to the provisions of international instruments ratified by Guatemala, Guatemalan laws could be challenged in cases of inconsistency with human rights treaties or covenants when so established through the constitutional guarantees that had been put in place.

99. Decentralize and expand labour inspection services in order to strengthen the capacity to verify compliance with domestic labour norms and those deriving from the international labour conventions ratified by Guatemala.

158. The Mission recommends that criminal legislation should be amended so as to incorporate in it a specific description of the crime of torture, making it punishable by appropriate penalties which take into account its grave nature, as required in the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, which has been ratified by Guatemala.
١٥٨ - وتوصي البعثة بالعمل على تعديل التشريعات الجنائية بغية إدراج مواصفات محددة لجريمة التعذيب تقابلها عقوبات تناسب خطورتها وفقا لما تنص عليه اتفاقية مناهضة التعذيب وغيره من ضروب المعاملة أو العقوبة القاسية أو اللاإنسانية أو المهينة، التي صدقت عليها غواتيمالا.

559. Article 1 of the Amparo, Habeas Corpus and Constitutionality Act defines the purpose of the Act as being to develop guarantees and safeguards of the constitutional order and the inherent rights of the person as protected by the Constitution, the law and international conventions ratified by Guatemala.
٩٥٥- تحدد المادة ١ من قانون اﻷمبارو واﻹحضار أمام المحكمة، والمحكمة الدستورية الغرض من القانون بأنه وضع الضمانات وسبل الحماية للنظام الدستوري وللحقوق الكامنة للشخص كما يحميها الدستور والقانون والمعاهدات الدولية التي صدقت عليها غواتيمالا.

The objectives of FNM are to promote women's participation so as to permit the harmonization and monitoring of proposals that have an impact on national comprehensive human development policies and on compliance with the peace agreements and the international conventions and treaties in favour of women ratified by Guatemala.

479. Thus article 1 of the Constitutional Amparo, Habeas Corpus and Constitutionality Act (Constituent Assembly Decree No. 1-86) defines the purpose of the Act as the development of the guarantees and safeguards of the constitutional order and of the rights inherent in the person guaranteed by the Constitution, the laws and the international conventions ratified by Guatemala.
٩٧٤- ولذا، فإن المادة ١ من قانون اﻷمبارو الدستوري، وأمر اﻹحضار أمام المحكمة والمحكمة الدستورية )مرسوم المجلس التشريعي رقم )١-٦٨( يحدد الغرض من القانون بأنه وضع الضمانات وإجراءات الحماية للنظام الدستوري والحقوق الكامنة في الشخص التي يكفلها الدستور، والقوانين والمعاهدات الدولية التي صدقت عليها غواتيمالا.
