14. The findings in the studies underlined that legal requirements and existing capabilities to comply with such requirements have, in principle, a positive impact on companies and entrepreneurs with respect to applying cleaner production methods and demand for ESTs.
١٤ - وأبرزت النتائج التي خلصت اليها الدراستان أن الشروط القانونية والقدرات الحالية على الامتثال لهذه الشروط تؤثر تأثيرا إيجابيا، من حيث المبدأ، على الشركات ومنظمي المشاريع من حيث اﻷخذ بأساليب أنظف لﻹنتاج ومن حيث الطلب على التكنولوجيات السليمة بيئيا.

15. However, since there has been a strong orientation in both countries on the use of regulatory systems, the increased demand for ESTs has primarily focused on end-of-pipe technologies to clean up production effluents.
١٥ - ولكن نظرا إلى أن كلا البلدين يوجد به اتجاه قوي نحو استخدام اللوائح التنظيمية، فإن زيادة الطلب على التكنولوجيات السليمة بيئيا تركزت بصفة أساسية على استعمال التكنولوجيات التي تعالج اﻵثار لتنظيف نفايات اﻹنتاج السائلة.

(f) Establish networks of research centres focusing on environmentally sound technologies, pollution prevention and control of liquid wastes.
)و( إنشاء شبكات من مراكز البحوث تركز على التكنولوجيات السليمة بيئيا وعلى منع التلوث ومكافحة النفايات السائلة.

The demand for environmentally sound technologies does not arise automatically but will gradually increase by building up the level of environmental awareness based on monitoring the state of the environment, and leading to sound government policy as well as developing the capacities of technology recipients to assess available technologies.
