While we are fundamentally in harmony with the Secretary-General's triad, I would like to elaborate on each of its constituents.
ولئن كنا نتفق أساسا مع المبادئ الثلاثة التي وضعها اﻷمين العــــام، فإنني أود أن أتناول كلا منها بشيء من التفصيل.

Before I conclude, I would like to state the following points.
وقبل أن أختم هذه الرسالة، فإنني أود تسجيل النقاط التالية.

While appreciating their assistance, I would like to seize this opportunity to urge them to make every effort to redeem their promises in view of the proximity of 2015.

In so doing, I wish to emphasize the importance we attach to the rehabilitation process in that brotherly country.
وإذ أفعل ذلك فإنني أود أن أؤكد اﻷهمية التي نعلقها على عملية الانعاش في ذلك البلد الشقيق.

Finally, if I may be allowed to add a personal note, I wish to express my deepest gratitude to each of my colleagues on this Panel.
وأخيرا، إذا ما سمحتم لي أن أضيف لمسة شخصية، فإنني أود أن أعرب عن عميق امتناني لكل فرد من زملائي في هذا الفريق.

With respect to the current debate on this issue, I should like to reaffirm a few basic positions.
أما بالنسبة للمناقشة الجارية الآن بشأن هذه المسألة فإنني أود أن أؤكد بعض المواقف الفلسطينية الأساسية.

Not one to be known for diplomacy -- and I happen to be standing here with a microphone in front of me -- I would like to tell it like it is.

With regard to the statement of the Armenian Minister on 6 December 2002, I would like to make the following observations.
وفيما يتعلق بالبيان الذي أدلى به الوزير الأرميني، في 6 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2002، فإنني أود أن أبدي الملاحظات التالية:

Stressing the importance of the adopted document, I would like to urge the General Assembly to begin implementing it.
وإذ أشدد على أهمية هذه الوثيقة. فإنني أود أن أحث الجمعية العامة على أن تبدأ تنفيذها.

However, since reference to these issues was made by the representative of Turkey, I would like to make a few points.

In view of the gross distortion of facts, I wish to set the record straight on this matter.
وفي ضوء التحريف الخطير للوقائع، فإنني أود أن أوضح اﻷمور بشأن هذه المسائل.

While we will come back with further comments after careful study, I wish today to warmly welcome this new, important initiative for renewal of this Organization.
وفي حين أننا سنعود بمزيد من التعليقات بعد الدراسة المتأنية، فإنني أود اﻵن أن أرحب بحرارة بهذه المبادرة الجديدة الهامة لتجديد هذه المنظمة.

Accordingly, I wish to inform you that I have appointed the following experts to facilitate the work of that Committee:
