While noting the measures taken by the State party to combat racial discrimination, the Committee is concerned that immigrants, in particular refugees, asylum-seekers and irregular migrants, continue to face discrimination in the enjoyment of their economic, social and cultural rights, in particular with regard to access to housing and employment (art. 5).

It is noted with concern that officers of the Danish police have treated persons with a non-Danish background in an unacceptable manner, also that these persons with non-Danish backgrounds face difficulties in the enjoyment of their economic and social rights, particularly in respect of access to the labour market and equality in the exercise of their rights to housing and to health.

14. The Committee on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families in its comments to Mexico noted the particular situation of indigenous migrants and women migrants, who suffer from dual discrimination in the enjoyment of their economic, social and cultural rights, and are more vulnerable to violations and abuse than other groups.
