The decision of the eighteenth Conference of the Parties to the Convention on women's participation set a goal on gender balance in representation in bodies established under the Convention or the Kyoto Protocol and in the composition of parties' delegations, and requires annual reporting on progress made.
ووضع قرار الدورة الثامنة عشرة لمؤتمر الدول الأطراف عن مشاركة المرأة هدفا يتعلق بالتوازن بين الجنسين في التمثيل في الهيئات المنشأة بموجب الاتفاقية أو بروتوكول كيوتو وفي تكوين وفود الأطراف، ويُلزم القرار بتقديم تقارير سنوية عن التقدم المحرز.

In it, the Conference of the Parties adopted a goal of gender balance in bodies established under the Convention and the Kyoto Protocol, in order to improve women's participation and inform more effective climate change policy that addresses the needs of women and men equally.
وقد اعتمد فيـه مؤتمر الأطراف هدف إقامة التوازن بين الجنسين في الهيئات المنشأة بموجب الاتفاقية وبروتوكول كيوتو، من أجل تحسين مشاركة المرأة وتأثيرها في وضع سياسات أكثر فعالية في مجال تغير المناخ تتناول احتياجات المرأة والرجل على قدم المساواة.

1. The Conference of the Parties (COP), by decision 23/CP.18, agreed that additional efforts need to be made by all Parties to improve the participation of women in bodies established under the Convention and its Kyoto Protocol, as envisaged in decision 36/CP.7.
1- اتفق مؤتمر الأطراف، في المقرر 23/م أ-18، على ضرورة أن تبذل جميع الأطراف جهوداً إضافية من أجل تحسين مشاركة النساء في الهيئات المنشأة بموجب الاتفاقية وبروتوكول كيوتو على النحو المتوخى في المقرر 36/م أ-7.

Further invites Parties to commit to meeting the goal of gender balance by, inter alia, nominating women to bodies established under the Convention and the Kyoto Protocol with the aim of a gradual but significant increase in the participation of women towards achieving this goal, and review progress made at the twenty-second session of the Conference of the Parties;
5- يدعو كذلك الأطراف إلى الالتزام بتحقيق الهدف المحدد لإقامة التوازن بين الجنسين بجملة أمور منها تعيين نساء في الهيئات المنشأة بموجب الاتفاقية وبروتوكول كيوتو لتحقيق زيادة تدريجية وكبيرة في الوقت نفسه في نسبة مشاركة من أجل بلوغ الهدف المذكور واستعراض التقدم المحرز في الدورة الثانية والعشرين لمؤتمر الأطراف؛
