Ms. Ammar (Tunisia), referring to the report of the Secretary-General on strengthening of the rule of law (A/53/309), said that the coordination of United Nations activities to promote democracy, human rights and the rule of law by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights could increase the effectiveness of the action of various United Nations bodies in providing assistance to States which requested it.
٤٧ - السيدة عمار )تونس(: أشارت إلى تقرير اﻷمين العام عن تعزيز سيادة القانون (A/53/309)، وقالت إن اضطلاع مفوضية اﻷمم المتحدة لحقوق اﻹنسان بتنسيق أنشطة اﻷمم المتحدة وتعزيز الديمقراطية وحقوق اﻹنسان وسيادة القانون يمكن أن تؤدي إلى زيادة فعالية أعمال مختلف هيئات اﻷمم المتحدة في تقديم المساعدة إلى الدول التي تطلبها.
