II. THE SITUATION in the Prevlaka peninsula

The recent rise in tensions is of serious concern and I have requested my Special Representative, in cooperation with the Co-Chairmen of the Steering Committee of the International Conference, to renew his efforts to ensure full compliance by the parties with the security regime established in the Prevlaka peninsula.
