This international effort should be intensified, since Lebanon is still engaged in the treatment of wastes and the monitoring of recovery; States and the international donor community are encouraged to make contributions to the Eastern Mediterranean Oil Spill Restoration Trust Fund hosted by the Lebanon Recovery Fund.
وينبغي تكثيف هذا الجهد الدولي، بالنظر إلى أن لبنان ما زال مشغولاً بمعالجة النفايات ورصد الانتعاش؛ ويشجَّع كل من الدول والمجتمع الدولي للمانحين على تقديم تبرعات إلى الصندوق الاستئماني لعلاج أضرار الانسكاب النفطي في شرق البحر الأبيض المتوسط الذي يستضيفه صندوق إنعاش لبنان.

7. In paragraph 7 of its resolution 65/147, the General Assembly welcomed the agreement of the Lebanon Recovery Fund to host the Eastern Mediterranean Oil Spill Restoration Trust Fund and, in paragraph 8 of the same resolution, invited States, intergovernmental organizations, non-governmental organizations and the private sector to make voluntary financial contributions to the Trust Fund.
7 - ورحَّبت الجمعية العامة في الفقرة 7 من قرارها 65/147، بموافقة صندوق إنعاش لبنان على استضافة الصندوق الاستئماني لعلاج أضرار الانسكاب النفطي في شرق البحر الأبيض المتوسط، ودعت في الفقرة 8 من القرار نفسه الدول والمنظمات الحكومية الدولية والمنظمات غير الحكومية والقطاع الخاص إلى تقديم تبرعات مالية للصندوق الاستئماني.

It also established an Eastern Mediterranean Oil Spill Restoration Trust Fund, based on voluntary contributions, to provide assistance and support to the States directly adversely affected in their integrated environmentally sound management, from clean-up to safe disposal of oily waste, of the environmental disaster resulting from the destruction of the oil storage tanks.
كما أنشأت صندوقا استئمانيا لعلاج أضرار الانسكاب النفطي في شرق البحر الأبيض المتوسط، يمول عن طريق التبرعات، من أجل مد الدول التي تأثرت تأثرا سلبيا مباشرا بالمساعدة والدعم في مجال الإدارة المتكاملة والسليمة بيئيا، بدءا بالتنظيف ووصولا إلى التخلص الآمن من النفايات النفطية للكارثة البيئية الناجمة عن تدمير صهاريج تخزين النفط.

She pointed out a few amendments to the text. The beginning of paragraph 7 should read " Decides to establish an Eastern Mediterranean Oil Spill Restoration voluntary trust fund in order to provide ... " and the words " at the General Assembly " should be added at the end of that paragraph.
وأشارت إلى بعض التعديلات على النص بحيث تصبح بداية الفقرة 7 كما يلي: " تقرر إنشاء صندوق تبرعات استئماني لعلاج أضرار الانسكاب النفطي في شرق البحر الأبيض المتوسط من أجل مد ... " ، وإضافة عبارة: " للجمعية العامة " إلى نهاية تلك الفقرة.

34. Furthermore, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) has expressed its readiness to host the Eastern Mediterranean Oil Spill Restoration Trust Fund, by stating that in principle, ESCWA is in the position to manage a trust fund and the basic United Nations rules for the establishment and management of trust funds apply also in the case of ESCWA.
34 - وعلاوة على هذا، أعربت لجنة الأمم المتحدة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لغرب آسيا عن استعدادها لاستضافة الصندوق الاستئماني لعلاج أضرار الانسكاب النفطي في شرق البحر المتوسط، وذلك بقولها إن لجنة الأمم المتحدة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لغرب آسيا تستطيع، من حيث المبدأ، إدارة صندوق استئماني وإن القواعد الأساسية للأمم المتحدة لإنشاء وإدارة صندوق استئماني تنطبق أيضا في حالة اللجنة.

7. Welcomes the agreement of the Lebanon Recovery Fund to host the Eastern Mediterranean Oil Spill Restoration Trust Fund, based on voluntary contributions, to provide assistance and support to the States directly adversely affected in their integrated environmentally sound management, from clean-up to safe disposal of oily waste, of this environmental disaster resulting from the destruction of the oil storage tanks at Jiyeh electric power plant;
