That was a reason to comply with the obligations set forth in the Hyogo Declaration and in the Hyogo Framework for Action 2005-2015 which was based on building the resilience of nations and communities to disasters, and providing assistance to developing countries vulnerable to natural disasters and to disaster-struck States that were transitioning towards a sustainable material, social and economic recovery.
