OHCHR has been providing grants to the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights to support an OHCHR human rights chair at its annual training course, with a view to facilitating information on and knowledge of United Nations human rights mechanisms and the work of the Office of the High Commissioner.
43 - وما فتئت المفوضية تقدم منحا لمعهد البلدان الأمريكية لحقوق الإنسان من أجل دعم وجود كرسي باسم المفوضية بشأن موضوع حقوق الإنسان خلال دورته التدريبية السنوية، بغية تيسير تحصيل المعلومات والمعارف بشأن آليات الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان وأعمال المفوضية.

The former President of the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights, Clare Roberts, and other human rights activists such as a former State Ombudsman, had established a human rights group in Antigua and Barbuda to monitor reports of abuses and complaints from members of the public, highlighting societal expectations with a view to making recommendations to Government, where deemed necessary.

At its 1st plenary meeting on 25 August, the COP decided to accord observer status to the national, international, governmental and intergovernmental organizations listed in annex I to document ICCD/COP(6)/9/Add.1, as well as to the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture.

44. The Secretary General of the Pan-American Institute for Geography and History, Santiago Borrero Mutis, presented a paper entitled " GeoSUR, Red espacial para Latinoamerica y el Caribe " ,* on behalf of the Geospatial Information Network for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Statements were made by the representatives of Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Germany and the Plurinational State of Bolivia, as well as by a representative of the Pan-American Institute for Geography and History and the Secretary General of the Pan-American Institute for Geography and History.

The Executive Secretary of the Permanent Committee for Geospatial Data Infrastructure of the Americas, Valéria Oliveira Henrique de Araújo, reported on the implementation of seven of the resolutions adopted at the Ninth United Nations Regional Cartographic Conference for the Americas.* Statements were made by the representative of Germany and the Secretary General of the Pan-American Institute for Geography and History.
وقدمت الأمينة التنفيذية للجنة الدائمة المعنية بالهياكل الأساسية للبيانات المكانية للأمريكتين، فاليريا أوليفيريا هنريك دي أراخو، تقريرا عن تنفيذ سبعة من القرارات التي اتخذها مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة الإقليمي التاسع لرسم الخرائط للأمريكتين*. وأدلى ببيان كل من ممثل ألمانيا، والأمين العام لمعهد البلدان الأمريكية للجغرافيا والتاريخ.

29. Lou Yost, acting liaison officer for the Pan American Institute of Geography and History, gave a short verbal report on the Institute's activities since the previous session and indicated that a more detailed report would be submitted to the Conference.

The Tribunal has focused on the preparation of a single identity and voting document, a task in which it has received the technical support of the Electoral Advisory and Promotion Centre of the Inter-American Human Rights Institute (IIDH/CAPEL).
وركزت المحكمة على إعداد بطاقة واحدة للهوية والاقتراع، وهي مهمة تلقت فيها الدعم التقني من مركز التدريب والترويج الانتخابي التابع لمعهد البلدان اﻷمريكية لحقوق الانسان.
