4. The Conference took note of the Agreement signed at Linas-Marcoussis on 24 January 2003 by the round table of Ivorian political forces, which was submitted to it by Mr. Pierre Mazeaud.
4 - وأحاط المؤتمر علما بالاتفاق الموقع في ليناس - ماركوسي يوم 24 كانون الثاني/ يناير 2003 من خلال مؤتمر المائدة المستديرة الذي عقدته القوى السياسية الإيفوارية، والذي قدمه إلى المؤتمر السيد بيير مازو.

Having concluded its consideration of communication No. 630/1995 submitted to the Human Rights Committee by Mr. Abdoulaye Mazou under the Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights,

172. In case No. 630/1995 (Mazou v. Cameroon), the author had been dismissed from his post as a magistrate and reinstated at the same level after 14 years.

I should also like to draw the attention of the Assembly to a note by the Secretary-General, contained in an addendum to document A/60/187, which was issued this morning, in which he informs me that the national group of Niger decided to withdraw its nomination of Mr. Seidou Adamou Mazou as a candidate.
أود أن أسترعي انتباه الجمعية العامة إلى مذكرة من الأمين العام، واردة في ضميمة للوثيقة A/60/187، أصدرها صباح هذا اليوم، يبلغني فيها بأن المجموعة الوطنية للنيجر قررت سحب مرشحها السيد سيدو آدمو مازو.

235. Cameroon: With regard to case No. 630/1995 - Mazou (A/56/40), the State party informed the Committee by a note verbale of 5 April 2002 that the author had been reintegrated into the judicial corps, and that his career is following its normal course.
235- الكاميرون: فيما يتعلق بالقضية رقم 630/1995 - مازو (A/56/40)، أبلغت الدولة الطرف اللجنة في مذكرة شفوية مؤرخة 5 نيسان/أبريل 2002 أن صاحب البلاغ قد أعيد إدماجه في السلك القضائي، وأن حياته المهنية تأخذ مجراها الطبيعي.

The round table was chaired by the Chairman of the French Constitutional Commission, Pierre Mazeaud, assisted by Judge Keba Mbaye (Senegal) and the former Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire, Seydou Diarra, as well as representatives from the African Union and ECOWAS and my Special Representative for West Africa as facilitators.
