In its resolution 55/153 of 12 December 2000, the Assembly took note of the draft articles and reiterated its invitation to Governments to submit comments and observations on the question of a convention on nationality of natural persons in relation to the succession of States, and decided to revisit this question at its fiftyninth session.
وأحاطت الجمعية العامة علماً، في قرارها 55/153 المؤرخ 12 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2000، بمشروع المواد وكررت دعوتها إلى الحكومات لتقديم التعليقات والملاحظات على مسألة وضع اتفاقية بشأن جنسية الأشخاص الطبيعيين في حالة خلافة الدول، وقررت إعادة النظر في هذه المسألة في دورتها التاسعة والخمسين.

Pursuant to General Assembly resolution 62/61 of 6 December 2007, the Committee also established a Working Group on the Responsibility of States for Internationally Wrongful Acts in order to further examine the question of a convention on the topic or other appropriate action on the basis of the articles drafted by the International Law Commission.

The Assembly decided to further examine, at its sixty-fifth session in 2010, within the framework of a working group of the Sixth Committee, in the light of the written comments of Governments, as well as views expressed in the debates held at the sixty-second session of the Assembly, the question of a convention on diplomatic protection or any other appropriate action on the basis of the above-mentioned articles.

4. For its consideration of the item, the Committee had before it a note by the Secretariat containing the comments and observations of Governments on the question of a convention on the nationality of natural persons in relation to the succession of States (see A/59/180 and Add.1 and 2).
