The report did not touch upon many of the concerns of the Convention, such as the problem of discrimination against women in rural areas where traditional stereotypes prevailed, the increased burden of manual labour on rural women due to the migration of men and young people to the cities, their exclusion from political life and their lack of access to health care, social security and credit.
